This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

1. Who we are

DrivingTests.online is the data controller for the information you provide. Contact us at hello@drivingtests.online.

2. What data we collect

• Name and email address
• UK driving licence number
• DVSA booking reference
• Test centre preferences and acceptable dates
• Payment information (processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number)

3. How we use your data

• To check the DVSA booking system for earlier slots that match your preferences
• To send you email alerts when an earlier slot is found
• To send service emails such as your confirmation and account login links
• To take payment and manage your subscription
• To provide customer support

We use your details only to operate this service. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. Alerts are sent by email only.

4. Legal basis

We process your data to perform the contract you enter into when you sign up. You provide your details so we can deliver the service you have paid for.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted by Supabase. Your driving licence number and booking reference are additionally encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, and are only ever decrypted at the moment we run a check. We use your details solely to look for earlier slots and never to make changes to your booking.

6. Who we share data with

We share the minimum necessary data with the service providers that run our platform:

• Stripe for payment processing
• Resend for sending email alerts and confirmations
• Supabase for database and account login

These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own data protection obligations. We do not share your data with anyone else.

7. Data retention

We retain your data while your monitor is active and for up to 12 months afterward, after which it is permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in to your dashboard. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
